Welding QC Inspector
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Job Description:
Responsible for inspecting and assessing the quality and strength of welding work.
Inspect the job as per approved procedures, client’s specification, applicable code, standards & approved drawings.
Ensure that the construction quality is in accordance with the approved Project Quality Plan.
Read, understand and implement project related ITP, Procedures, Specification requirements.
Ensure Material verification against drawing, cutting plan and QC Report.
Perform visual inspection and maintain the reports.
Perform fit-up inspection against drawing/WPS.
Demonstrating correct welding procedures.
Raise NCR if any non-compliance observed.
Ensure HSE requirements are all in place at all time and ensure compliance to HSE regulations and requirements.
Perform other activities as per instruction by Project Manager / QHSE Engineer.
Requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or expertise in Steelworks & Piping.
Familiar with basic conventional NDT methods is preferred.
Experience in QC documentations such as Material traceability, Weld traceability records.
